Change from THIS :
to THIS! :
Step 1
- Open your photo in Photoshop. Which version doesn't matter but I'm using CS5. The placement of the tools might be different for you but it functions all the same. :)
Step 2
- You'll need to download the contact lense brushes I made sometime back [here] first and put it in a folder you can find easily.
- Select the BRUSH tool (I forgot to highlight it but it is on the right, the 8th icon) and load the brush you downloaded (illustrated above).
Step 3
- When you've loaded the brushes, they are 3 brushes but select the first contact lense brush. It is to add colour to your iris. The other 2 brushes provides definition. You know the black rim on some contact lenses? Yeah, that.
Step 4
- Next, open a new layer and stamp the brush on your iris after adjusting the size and the colour (you can change the colour on the bottom right).
IMPORTANT : MUST DO THIS ON A NEW LAYER!
Step 5
- Erase the unwanted parts with the ERASER (highlighted in the pic).
Step 6
- Then select one of the other 2 brushes and repeat step 4. But this time, you can do it on the same layer. If you know what to do with your layers, you can do however you want. LOL.
- Also, since this is the definition ring for the contact lense, it is advisable to use black or you might end up looking like an alien.
- ALSO, if you don't want the definition ring and wants to stop at Step 5, IT IS OKAY TO DO SO. Skip this step and go straight to Step 8.
Step 7
- Erase the unwanted parts with the ERASER (highlighted in the pic).
- At this point, your eye might look like an alien (depending on your photo quality and what colour you used on your eyes). That's why we need Step 8. If you like the results here in Step 7, you can skip the next step but I suggest not. :D
Step 8
- As I've highlighted above in the pic, try to play around with the MODE (the drop down menu) and the OPACITY. It will make your eyes look more real.
-And you're DONE! :D
Final Product
TL;DR? The instructions above are written in such a way so that Beginner users know where to find what. Intermediate users can just look at the photos and you'll know exactly what I did. Photos are clickable for full size. :)
Link me to your photos if you did one kay? I'd love to see results!! :D
